Background

Tammy’s core areas of practice include employment law and industrial law, environment and planning law, property law, and general commercial law matters.

Tammy regularly appears both led and as sole counsel in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Federal Court of Australia, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, and in the Land and Environment Court of New South Wales. She also has extensive experience appearing in the Fair Work Commission, Industrial Relations Commission and the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT).

Tammy’s clients include ASX-listed companies, government bodies, sports and media personalities, various commercial entities and private individuals. She has advised and appeared in a wide variety of matters relating to restraints of trade, the protection of confidential information, general protections and unfair dismissal claims, compulsory acquisition of land, and general property and contract disputes. Notably, Tammy is often briefed in high-stakes litigation involving claims of a highly sensitive and confidential nature (such as sexual harassment claims and other discrimination claims) which have the potential for serious reputational consequences to her clients.

Tammy is an accomplished advocate. She is strategic and measured in her approach when representing clients and possesses strong interpersonal skills. She is commended by her instructing solicitors for her attentiveness and thorough preparation of matters, as well as her ability to manage clients. She is committed to achieving favourable outcomes and guides her clients through the litigation process.

Previously, Tammy practised as a solicitor in Sydney and Darwin. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney.
